A Note from TrueFire’s Founder: Our Action Plan

TrueFire

It’s quite late here in St. Petersburg, FL. After a long day of calls with our artists and educators, and just now clicking off a video conference call with several members of the TrueFire team, it struck me how proud I am of the people I work with, and I’ll tell you why…

The studio and offices have shifted to WFH mode for the last two weeks, and the team here is safe and healthy in their homes. We gather several times a day with video, text, and phone. Presently, we are focused on doing anything and everything we can to support artists through these challenging times. As you are likely aware, all of their tours, gigs, school sessions, and workshop dates have been canceled until further notice.

As bleak as this situation is for artists, they have all risen to the challenge with a positive and creative spirit. Likewise, our staff, on top of their day-to-day responsibilities, are burning the candle at both ends working with artists to come up with alternative ways to keep us all inspired.

Together, we’ve put several new initiatives into motion, which you’ll start to see implemented in the coming weeks:
– A broader array of formats and more frequent free TrueFire Live broadcasts
– A centralized online calendar of artist-hosted streaming events you might enjoy
– More self-published artist channels are already in the works and launching soon
– Collaborative activities with artists and students to spark creativity and have a little fun

In addition, we’re digging in on several upgrades and new features on our website and apps (Notice anything or have suggestions? Please email help@truefire.com).

I also want to take this opportunity to tell you that the staff has rallied around a K-12 initiative. We’ll give any student or music teacher free access to the entire library of lessons while schools are struggling to maintain their arts programs. If you’d like to nominate one of your local schools, you can learn more about the K12 program here: http://truefire.com/k12.

Additionally, during this time of upheaval, if you find yourself in financial hardship, but want to keep learning, practicing, and playing with TrueFire, please do reach out to us – we will find a solution. Shout out to help@truefire.com.

We’ll keep you updated as things progress, and please feel free to shout out if there’s anything we can do for you. In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy.

Ignited we stand,
Brad
