On Episode 9 of Blues Chronicles, Rev. Jones touches on one of the greatest blues performers to ever come out of the Mississippi delta, Son House. Though many blues performers focused on gospel music, Son House was adamant that singing about secular, male / female relationships was the only way to perform this genre on the guitar.
