Pentatonic scales are great scales to phrase with. In today’s idea we’ll combine two adjacent positions together to create a new 3 note per string position. This new extended position will help you develop new musical lines and facilitate fast legato playing.

Included in this lesson is a chart that lists all the possible new extended positions. Use the chart as a starting point to explore new areas of the fretboard. Remember to keep everything musical.
