Pentatonic Poetry: #5 Add a Dash of Flash

Pentatonic Poetry is a free video guitar lesson series by Tobias Hurwitz. For more free lessons from this series, be sure to subscribe.

In this last installment of the Pentatonic Poetry series we up the lead guitar anti by adding a dash of flash. This takes the form of an introduction to the notorious sweep picking technique via an easy A Minor 7th Arpeggio.

You’ll learn the theory behind the arpeggio and its relation to the minor pentatonic scale. You’ll also learn how to practice it at various tempos and gradually work your way up to super-sonic shred speed!

And, last but not least, there’s a flashy lick that travels down and then back up the neck with moving mini sweeps! Just in case you prefer learning with Power Tab, it is included along with the inspiring “Pentatonic Poetry” backing track! Enjoy!
