Blues Guitar Lesson – Sittin on Chromatic: Lick 10

Country Guitar Lesson – Tried and True: Lick 1
This is a lick that’s like a security blanket for me when it comes to combining major and minor pentatonic scales. I can get twangy with this, or use it in a rock or blues situation.
Country Guitar Lesson – Bend a Little Farther: Lick 5
This lick is in the key of C and we’ll infuse the major and minor combo sound here. The back half of the lick will have you bending a lot and not just a whole step!
Country Guitar Lesson – Pick a Little: Lick 9
We’re in the key of G here for some fun country double stops and chickin pickin’! Try this little country lick on for size!
Soloing Guitar Lesson – Straight Eighth Feel: Performance
We’re playing a straight 8th rock feel here with plenty of country and rock types of ideas. This one will keep you busy for sure, but it’s totally worth it as you’ll be able to incorporate ideas from this in many songs!
Soloing Guitar Lesson – Straight Eighth Feel: Breakdown
Here we use the licks “Tried and True”, “Bend a Little Further”, “Pick a Little” and “Sittin On Chromatic”. There’s lots of fun double stop stuff here, too.
Rock Guitar Lesson – Take a Page: Lick 7
Jimmy Page came up during such an amazing time for music and he left his stamp not only as a songwriter and producer, but he became one of the most recognizable guitar heroes of all time. Have a listen to “Communication Breakdown” and you’ll hear how he weaves through these scales. I’ve tried to imitate that hear for you.
