On this 20th Edition of Blues Chronicles, Rev. Jones introduces us to Mississippi Fred McDowell. Though he started playing guitar around the age of 14, he wasn’t discovered and recorded until he was in his 50’s. Part of McDowell’s legacy will always be the opening of the door to other hill country blues artists that followed.
