While the major record labels were dragging file-sharers and BitTorrent sites to court for copyright infringement, they were themselves being sued by a conglomerate of artists for exactly the same offenses. Warner, Sony BMG, EMI and Universal face up to $6 billion in damages for pirating a massive 300,000 tracks.

Well over forty years since David Bowie became a well-known artist (now legend), a letter has surfaced online of what appears to be a response to his first American fan letter written by Sandra Dodd (Sandra Adams, back then) who was a 14 years old at the time. Bowie’s writing is sincere and gives you brief glimpse at Bowie before he had the world in his hands for the taking.
